Lots of prayers hiked in the last week or so for Hikes 46-49! I can't believe I'm approaching 50 Hikes for Project Prayer Box! 

For Hike 46, I wrote down names of people I saw at the 2014 Race for the Cure in Houston, a few short weeks ago. It was a powerful feeling to hike for people who are affected by breast cancer, especially because my personal journey (and my mom and family's journey) is what led to the hiking in the first place.

I will be posting a video from the Race in the next week, but for now, please pray for the following people:

I have been in Houston for the last couple of weeks, so I was excited to be in L.A. and get back on the mountain yesterday for Hike 45! I'll be posting pictures and video soon from last weekend's Race for the Cure in Houston, where my mom and family raced to celebrate my mom's victory over breast cancer!

[VIDEO] Mom Hikes to The Survival Tree

A couple of months ago, a few friends and family members flew to L.A. with my mom to hike up the mountain to The Survival Tree. This is the tree underneath which I hid my mom's Prayer Box and hiked daily prayers for her to be healed of cancer. We slowly but surely reached the top of the mountain and took turns reading prayers from her Prayer Box, which she held for the very first time, and said a prayer of thanks for her healing and recovery.

I'm not going to say "you had to be there", because although I would've loved for you to be, I hope that this video makes you feel as if you were.
